Universal Authentication & Secure Onboarding

I engineered a robust authentication layer that simplifies the mobile-native sign-up and login process. The onboarding flow was architected to be state-aware, ensuring that as users register, they are immediately categorized for verified access. This secure entry point serves as the foundation for the entire ecosystem, maintaining high data integrity from the very first session.

Escrow Payment & Trust Authorization

I consolidated the trust and safety and payment layers into a single secure orchestration engine. This deliverable manages automated identity verification alongside a secure escrow system. To protect gear owners, the system handles payment authorization and insurance holds at the moment of booking, ensuring that funds are secured and the user is verified before any physical gear is exchanged.

Transaction Engine: Rent vs. Trade Logic

A primary differentiator for Stoodeo is the ability to choose between a standard rental or a peer-to-peer gear trade. I architected the back-end logic to handle these two distinct transaction paths within a unified interface. This required complex rule-setting to determine trade valuations versus rental fees, giving users the ultimate flexibility in how they access high-end instruments.

Intuitive Instrument Listing System

To ensure a high-quality inventory, I built a modular, multi-step listing flow tailored for mobile efficiency. This system allows gear owners to quickly upload high-resolution media, specify technical conditions, and set pricing rules. The architecture includes real-time validation to ensure every listing is complete and market-ready before going live, drastically reducing host friction.

Dynamic Scheduling & Availability Engine

I engineered a custom calendar-sync engine that handles the volatile nature of mobile-first rentals. This includes real-time availability tracking, dynamic daily/weekly pricing tiers, and an automated “Buffer System” that blocks out time for gear inspection and transport between users. This feature ensures zero double-bookings and maintains a high-fidelity schedule for all platform users.

Package Shipping & Tracking

I integrated a native shipping and real-time tracking system optimized for the safe transport of high-value instruments. Leveraging third-party logistics APIs, I built a seamless flow where users can generate shipping labels, schedule secure pickups, and monitor their gear’s journey directly within the app. This feature eliminates the logistical friction of peer-to-peer commerce, providing end-to-end transparency for both hosts and renters.
